Amazon Web Services has several service offerings designed to help public sector institutions develop predictive maintenance analytics platforms that work to detect potential equipment failure and facilitate scheduling of maintenance activities.
Some of the company’s managed offerings include the AWS IoT Core, AWS Greengrass, AWS IoT Analytics and Amazon SageMaker, AWS said Friday.
Amazon SageMaker is a managed platform that aims to help data scientists and developers create, train and field machine learning models, while the AWS IoT Core is a managed cloud tool designed to allow connected devices, sensors and machines to interact with other devices and cloud applications.
AWS Greengrass is a software platform that works to help users run machine learning inference capabilities and perform data caching, local compute and sync capabilities.
AWS IoT Analytics is a managed service offering that seeks to allow users to perform analytics on large volumes of internet-based data and generate a health score for each connected device through the application of machine learning algorithms to data.
