IBM has secured a potential $30.2 million contract from the General Services Administration to provide order management services to support the business lines of GSA’s Office of General Supplies and Services.
A FedBizOpps notice posted Wednesday says the agency selected IBM among the pool of offerors on the Alliant governmentwide acquisition contract vehicle.
GSA’s cloud-based OMS system will leverage the IBM-built Sterling platform and is meant to help the agency manage e-commerce operations such as processing orders and providing status updates throughout the order life cycle, according to an FBO summary.
OMS will work to support multiple ordering channels that include GSA Advantage eCommerce and Electronic Data Interchange between the agency and vendors.
