Rita Lane, a more than two-decade technology industry veteran, has joined the board of directors of L3 Technologies.
L3 said Wednesday Lane’s appointment increases the number of L3’s board members to 10.
“She is a proven leader with an extensive engineering and operational background, as well as expertise in innovation across global businesses,” said Christopher Kubasik, L3 chairman, president and CEO.
Kubasik added the company can use Lane’s analytical perspective and insight in growth strategy implementation efforts.
She served as vice president of operations at Apple from July 2008 to January 2014, after she previously worked as senior VP of the technology firm’s integrated supply chain.
Prior to Apple, she was chief procurement officer at Motorola and held a 14-year career at IBM‘s systems and personal computer division.
She supported the U.S. Air Force‘s space launch program during her five-year tenure there.
Lane also serves on the board of Philips Lighting and Sanmina.
