Boeing’s Aviall Subsidiary to Help Bring Bronco II Plane to US Market as Part of Industry Team

Boeing’s Aviall subsidiary has joined an industry team to help transition the Bronco II aircraft to the U.S. market.

Boeing said Tuesday Aviall will work with Paramount Group, Aerospace Development and Fulcrum Concepts through the Bronco Combat Systems team.

Bronco II is a two-person aircraft designed to support command, control, communications, computers, intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance missions and works to carry sensors and various weapon systems.

The aircraft has open system architecture and an interchangeable multimission pod platform.

Aviall will also lead the supply chain acquisition and management efforts in support of the production of Paramount Group’s Advanced High-Performance Reconnaissance Light Aircraft, including militarized aircraft variants such as Bronco II and Mwari.

Boeing’s global services business will also deliver software-based platforms that work to provide command-and-control support to flight operations through the partnership.

Boeing announced Tuesday that it agreed to buy aviation parts distributor KLX for approximately $3.2 billion cash with plans to integrate the latter’s aerospace solutions group with Aviall upon the deal’s closure.
