A Vencore subsidiary has partnered with Power Line Supply for the distribution of an infrastructure monitoring system for smart grid field networks and consultancy services for utilities.
PLS will serve as the exclusive distributor of Vencore Labs‘ SecureSmart technology and of planning, security and consultancy services to over 30 investor-owned utilities in nine states in the Mid-Atlantic and Mid-West regions, Vencore said Wednesday.
The Vencore subsidiary tapped Irby in September 2017 to market and sell the SecureSmart platform as well as the research arm’s grid implementation support services.
SecureSmart is geared to detect wireless network intrusions for real-time network health, anomaly identification, threat analysis and visualization.
The threat detection product is designed as a cybersecurity, engineering and operations technology for advanced metering infrastructure, distributed automation and supervisory control and data acquisition systems.
