Tortuga Logic has received a contract to develop new hardware security tools for the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency.
The effort will make use of Tortuga’s hardware security models which will then be integrated with commercial emulation systems, the company said Wednesday.
The project seeks to support hardware designers in identifying security vulnerabilities needed for chip fabrication.
Participants of the department’s System Security Integrated Through Hardware and Firmware program will be granted access to the security tools that would result from the project.
The SSITH program aims to construct architectures and methods that may be used to augment the security of commercial and defense systems.
Jason Oberg, the company’s CEO, will lead the project; while Andrew Dauman, vice president of engineering, will provide managerial support.
