Pratt & Whitney, JSF Program Partners Update F-35 Fleet Mgmt System - top government contractors - best government contracting eventUnited Technologies Corp.‘s Pratt & Whitney subsidiary has collaborated with partners under the Joint Strike Fighter program to update and deploy a logistics management system at 12 F-35 fleet locations worldwide, American Machinist reported Monday.

The Autonomic Logistics Information System is designed to automatically track F-35 propulsion components by gathering and analyzing condition-based data.

Operational bases that house the fighter aircraft have received ALIS’ latest version that integrates Pratt & Whitney’s F135 propulsion technology.

Data from the system can be used to prevent equipment failure, monitor the health of aircraft systems, manage supply chain, schedule flights and plan flight missions.

Lockheed Martin, prime contractor on the F-35 program, and Rolls-Royce helped implement ALIS.
