Orbital ATK will launch its in-orbit satellite servicing platform on March 13 at the four-day Satellite 2018 conference and exhibition slated to kick off Monday in Washington, D.C.
David Thompson, Orbital ATK president and CEO, will join Tom Wilson, president of SpaceLogistics, to introduce the robotic servicing system – Mission Extension Vehicle – at the event, Orbital ATK said Thursday.
Intelsat CEO Stephen Spengler will speak at the event to share his views as an MEV customer.
Orbital ATK will also showcase its GEOStar communications satellite; Antares, Pegasus and Minotaur space launch vehicles; Cygnus spacecraft; ESPASat and ESPAStar small satellites for national security missions; propulsion tanks, solar array systems; and antenna reflectors.
Frank Culbertson, president of Orbital ATK’s space systems group, will take part in a panel discussion on satellite manufacturers on March 14.
