Commvault and Hewlett Packard Enterprise have entered an agreement that authorizes HPE to offer Commvault’s data protection products to enterprise customers through the HPE Complete reseller program.
HPE will integrate Commvault’s portfolio of data protection software with the former’s Storage platforms, such as StoreOnce, 3PAR, Nimble Storage, Apollo and ProLiant, Commvault said Monday.
The integrated products are available to government, healthcare and other enterprise customers worldwide through HPE representatives and channel partners.
Patrick Osborne, HPE director of storage and big data product management, said the partnership is intended to streamline the use of Commvault products to address data complexity; move data between on-premises and cloud platforms; and protect, recover and activate data.
Commvault’s software platforms are designed to aid data backup, archiving, recovery, search and e-discovery in databases, applications and endpoints, as well as implement data protection and regulatory compliance measures.
The offerings also work to migrate, manage and activate data across on-premises and cloud infrastructures.
The reseller agreement adds to the two companies’ previous collaborations, including HPE’s use of the Commvault Data Platform to build the HPE GreenLake Backup consumption-based data backup and recovery system.
