The Health and Human Services Department has posted solicitations seeking contractors with the capacity to build an artificial intelligence tool for acquisition support, NextGov reported Monday.
HHS intends for the future BUYSMARTER Acquisitions system to analytically process contract data through the use of AI, to generate information capable of supporting the department’s procurement activities.
The system will be designed to assist procurement officers in managing contract categories, gathering new orders and selecting the most suitable contractors.
The department will administer an industry day event on April 2 to disseminate details on the effort. Interested contractors have until April 13 to submit responses.
