CSRA has received a provisional authorization from the Defense Department to deploy and operate a cloud platform.
The provisional Impact Level 5 Systems certification from DoD allows CSRA’s milCloud 2.0 to host military applications and national security platforms that store mission critical data and controlled unclassified information, the company said Tuesday.
Larry Prior, CSRA president and CEO and a 2018 Wash100 recipient, said the company has teamed up with the Defense Information Systems Agency to provide cloud services through milCloud 2.0 and will work to help warfighters focus on their mission through the cloud platform.
The company also unveiled a cost estimator platform that will work to help potential users perform cloud computing-related cost estimates.
CSRA secured a potential $498 million indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract from DISA in June 2017 to deploy milCloud 2.0.
MilCloud is an infrastructure-as-a-service platform designed to meet DoD’s cloud services requirements through the combination of commercial off-the-shelf platforms and government-built technologies.
