Lockheed Martin has received a potential $18.7 million contract from the U.S. Air Force to help sustain the military branch’s GPS satellites currently in orbit.
Work covers on-orbit and anomaly resolution support, constellation performance analysis, space vehicle end-of-life test and training and SV subsystem analysis, the Defense Department said Wednesday.
DoD noted the Space and Missile Systems Center will obligate $1.9 million in fiscal 2018 operations and maintenance funds at the time of award.
The company is scheduled to complete work under the sole-source contract by June 30, 2022.
