Palo Alto Networks has unveiled new features of its cloud security platform during the company’s Epic Cloud Security Event held Tuesday.
The Next-Generation Security Platform will work to expand cloud workload protections to Google‘s cloud platform and offer added security for Amazon Web Services‘ and Microsoft‘s respective cloud environments, Palo Alto Networks said Tuesday.
The new tools include the Panorama network security management system, which is designed to provide centrally-managed deployment and oversight for all Palo Alto Networks next-generation firewalls and VM-Series virtualized next-generation firewalls across major clouds.
The updated Next-Generation Security Platform is also intended to boost auto-scaling for AWS and deliver added support for Microsoft’s Azure Security Center and the Google Cloud Deployment Manager.
The new Aperture security service will work to monitor cloud resources, mitigate sensitive data loss, scan for risky or suspicious administrator behavior and protect against security misconfigurations and the spread of malware.
Palo Alto Networks also introduced the Traps endpoint protection tool that will work to avert zero-day attacks against Linux workloads in all major clouds.
The company will release the updates and new security features for general availability in March.
