An Upskill-developed industrial augmented reality system designed to support fieldwork, heavy manufacturing and warehouse production for aerospace, defense, logistics and field service clients can now be used with the Google Glass Enterprise, i-HLS reported Monday.
The company’s Skylight technology, which is also compatible with enterprise AR devices, combines worker experiences with gesture- and voice-driven applications as well as audio and video feeds to support various production activities including field service training and engine construction.
The report noted Upskill serves as a partner seller for Google Glass Enterprise and provides services for clients including Boeing, Coca Cola and Lockheed Martin.
Former executives from Battlefield Telecommunications Systems founded Upskill to adapt and offer AR technologies previously used by U.S. soldiers to a wide range of customers and markets.
