Saab has received a potential $117.9 million order from Finland-based defense company Patria to provide various systems for integration into the Finnish navy’s fast attack crafts.
The order is for the 9LV Combat Management System, 9LV Fire Control System with the Ceros 200 fire control director and the Trackfire Remote Weapon Station, Saab said Thursday.
Patria serves as the prime contractor on the Finnish navy Squadron 2000 Mid-Life Upgrade program that seeks to refurbish and modernize four Hamina-class FACs.
Saab aims to begin deliveries of the ordered systems this year.
9LV CMS is designed to integrate with surface vessels and submarines to aid in multimission command and control operations.
The Ceros 200 naval ship radar works to measure target coordinates while the Trackfire RWS works to manage hit performance for necessary to engage targets.
Saab added it seeks to provide the company’s lightweight anti-submarine warfare torpedo to the Squadron 2000 MLU program.
The torpedo is built to be launched from surface ships, aircraft and submarines for anti-submarine and anti-surface missions.
Patria also looks to order Saab’s TactiCall communications system through a separate contract.
TactiCall is designed to integrate various communications systems such as different radio bands, frequency or hardware.
