Northrop Grumman‘s aerospace systems business has received an $11.7 million delivery order to supply radar processor hardware sets for the U.S. Navy‘s E-2D Advanced Hawkeye aircraft.
The Defense Department said Thursday the company will deliver Advanced Radar Processors to support E-2D operational and counter electronic attack development tests slated to occur between 2019 and 2020.
Advanced Hawkeye is a next-generation variant of the E-2 airborne early warning aircraft and is built for multi-mission command and control operations.
The Navy expects the E-2D platform to achieve initial operational capability along with aerial refueling capability in fiscal year 2020.
Northrop is scheduled to deliver the ARP hardware sets to the service branch by November 2019.
