The U.S. Navy‘s Space and Naval Warfare Systems Command wants information on small businesses that can provide engineering and support services for the service branch’s future tactical afloat network.
SPAWAR said Monday in a FedBizOpps notice that the required engineering services under the Consolidated Afloat Network and Enterprise Services program includes research into technology updates, configuration management, preparations for production updates, implementation and engineering documentation, among others.
The Navy expects to award a sole-source, indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract with a five-year ordering period and an estimated value of $50 million to $100 million.
Responses to the sources sought notice are due Feb. 16.
The CANES program aims to consolidate the Navy’s five afloat networks into one system to boost the operational effectiveness of deployed sailors.
