Lockheed Martin has received a $10.2 million contract modification to provide ballistic missile defense equipment for installation on a U.S. Navy guided missile destroyer.
The Defense Department said Friday that Lockheed’s rotary and mission systems business will provide version 4.0.2 of AEGIS BMD equipment for the Arleigh Burke-class destroyer ship USS Stout (DDG 55).
The modification exercises an option under a previously awarded contract and also includes assembly, integration and testing services.
Work will take place in New Jersey and Florida through April 2019.
The Naval Sea Systems Command will obligate the full amount of the modification at the time of award from fiscal 2018 defense-wide procurement funds.
