Kratos Defense and Security Solutions hosted a town hall meeting for Rep. Doug Lamborn (R-Colorado) on Jan. 24 at the company’s facility located in Colorado Springs.
Lamborn, who represents the fifth district of Colorado, also toured the Kratos campus that builds technology platforms intended for satellite communications and other space applications, the company said Tuesday.
Phil Carrai, president of Kratos’ technology and training division, said the company aims to help military customers detect missile launches, protect space assets and manage unmanned aircraft missions the use of technology.
The town hall event highlighted various topics such as defense spending, Congress’ space vision and national efforts to prepare for missions in a contested space environment.
Lamborn’s tour included the Radio Frequency Monitoring Network Operations Center for the company’s ground stations and sensors network built to support government and commercial satellite operators.
Kratos aims to expand its Colorado Springs facility on a 10-acre area as part of efforts to address a demand for satellite communications and control systems.
