A Koniag subsidiary has received a contract from the Interior Department to help DOI’s Office of the Special Trustee for American Indians develop a blueprint to migrate information technology systems to a cloud platform.
Eagle Harbor Solutions will evaluate the office’s IT assets, network architecture and systems as part of cloud migration planning efforts, Koniag said Monday.
The project seeks to also update a disaster recovery and continuity of operations plan within the office.
Ed O’Hare, CEO of Koniag’s government services sector, said that the company seeks to help DOI OST comply with data protection requirements under the American Indian Trust Fund Management Reform Act of 1991.
The department established its OST for American Indians to help increase accountability and support management of Indian funds held in trust by the federal government.
EHS is part of Koniag GSS and offers a range of consulting, engineering and programmatic support services to the federal sector.
