InferLink has received a $750,000 contract to update search functionality on a Department of Homeland Security website designed for the cyber research and development community.
DHS’ science and technology directorate said Tuesday the company will develop search tools and methods for the Information Marketplace for Policy and Analysis of Cyber-risk and Trust, managed by the Homeland Security Advanced Research Projects Agency‘s cybersecurity division.
IMPACT is built to coordinate data and facilitate information exchange among government, industry and academic cybersecurity researchers.
Erin Kenneally, IMPACT program manager, said that InferLink’s semantic search framework will work to help enhance targeted and organic search results meant to support cybersecurity R&D efforts.
The company intends to expand its ActiveSearch platform in efforts to help IMPACT users search through the portal’s resource library that contains analytics, software tools and datasets.
ActiveSearch is designed to integrate natural-language processing with a description and identification database.
S&T awarded the contract under the Small Business Innovation Research Other Agencies Technology Solutions program.
