Connexta has won a potential five-year, $83 million contract to develop a fifth version of the U.S. Air Force‘s Distributed Common Ground/Surface System Integration Backbone.
The Defense Department said Wednesday the company will help the service branch develop DIB software and related software as well as support the DCGS/Defense Intelligence Information Enterprise.
DCGS is designed to receive, process, exploit and disseminate intelligence data in ground and surface systems through multiple national and tactical sensors.
The Air Force will obligate $33,324 at the time of award from its fiscal 2017 research, development, test and evaluation funds.
Phoenix, Arizona-based Connexta is scheduled to complete work under the indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract by Jan. 23, 2023.
