Leonardo aims to double the aerospace and defense conglomerate’s export sales over the next three years through the establishment of additional marketing offices and logistics facilities worldwide, Defense News reported Sunday.
Lorenzo Mariani, chief commercial officer at Leonardo, was quoted as saying by Defense News that the company wants to build “a network of regional hubs” to partner with local companies and manage products such as aircraft, helicopters and radar offerings.
Mariani also seeks to connect Leornardo’s marketing and after-sales support functions that he currently oversees through the overseas expansion initiative.
The company plans to double the number of its sales offices abroad to 60 and open up to six logistics hubs in the coming years, the report noted.
Leonardo could unveil a new five-year industrial plan in January, the report added.
