The U.S. Marine Corps has posted a request for information on potential sources of an enterprise mobility management system.
The service branch said Wednesday in a FedBizOpps notice it seeks an EMM platform that can give government-owned mobile devices access to the Marine Corps Enterprise Network, the Marine Corps’ portion of the unclassified Department of Defense Information Network.
Interested vendors should propose EMM platforms that can be replicated on the classified network and include mobile device management, mobile application store and mobile content management features.
Other desired but optional components include mobile security management or mobile threat detection as well as support for “bring your own device” or corporately-owned, personally-enabled device models.
The Marine Corps will consider on-premise and cloud-based platforms, but cloud service providers must have appropriate Federal Risk and Management Program and Defense Department security certifications.
The military branch expects to award a contract with a one-year base period and four one-year options.
If selected, on-premise EMM systems will be installed at one primary and one alternate Marine Corps data center.
