Jeh Johnson, former secretary at the Department of Homeland Security, and American Tower CEO James Taiclet Jr. have been elected to join Lockheed Martin‘s board of directors effective Jan. 1.
“Jeh’s experience in acquisition and government operations and Jim’s aerospace and global perspective will help advance our ability to anticipate and exceed our customers’ expectations,” Marillyn Hewson, Lockheed chairman, president and CEO, said in a statement published Monday.
Johnson will serve on the classified business and security and ethics and sustainability committees of the company’s board.
He is currently a partner at law firm of Paul, Weiss, Rifkind, Wharton & Garrison LLP and a director of electric utility firm PG&E.
Johnson’s federal career has included time as general counsel of Defense Department and the U.S. Air Force.
Taiclet will serve on the nominating and corporate governance and strategic affairs committees of the Lockheed’s board, the company noted.
Prior to American Tower, he worked as president of Honeywell International‘s aerospace services unit, vice president of Pratt and Whitney‘s engine services business and consultant at McKinsey & Company.
He also served at the U.S. Air Force as an officer and pilot.
