Howard Rubel, a 36-year equity research veteran, has been elected as corporate vice president and appointed VP of investor relations at General Dynamics.
The company said Friday Rubel will formally assume his new positions on Jan. 2 and will report directly to Chairman and CEO Phebe Novakovic.
He has served as managing director of equity research at Jefferies since 2004 and led the global investment banking firm’s aerospace and defense industries research group.
Before that, he held a similar role at Schwab SoundView Capital Markets for nearly two years.
He also served as equity research VP at Goldman Sachs and equity research SVP at C.J. Lawrence.
