The U.S. Army has selected Harris to produce combat radio communication systems for use by the service branch’s Security Force Assistance Brigade in coalition training missions.
The company said Wednesday it will supply Falcon III AN/PRC-152A Wideband Networking Handheld Radios; AN/PRC-117G Multiband Networking Manpack Radios; and AN/PRC-160 High Frequency Manpack Radios to support SFAB operations.
Harris will integrate soldier radio and adaptive networking wideband waveforms into the radio systems.
SFAB is in charge of training, organizing and equipping coalition forces with equipment necessary to carry out their missions.
The brigade works to help build coalition partner capabilities in an effort preserve U.S. Army combat forces for critical missions if needed.
