General Dynamics‘ Bath Iron Works subsidiary has received a $23.9 million modification for additional Arleigh Burke-class lead yard services including engineering and technical support to construct new ships.
Services under the original lead yard services contract include ship construction liaison, general class support, logistics support, design agent support, change design support and Arleigh Burke-class Flight III upgrade design efforts, the Defense Department said Monday.
Bath Iron Works will work at locations in Maine; Washington, D.C.; and Mississippi.
The Pentagon expects work to be finished by June 2018.
Upon awarding, the Naval Sea Systems Command will obligate a combined amount of $22.5 million that will not expire as the current fiscal year concludes.
