Lockheed Martin has selected Rockwell Collins to provide display systems for F-16 flight training programs of two international customers.
Rockwell Collins said Monday it will supply custom configurations of the Griffin rear-projection dome equipped with an ingress and egress system, a projector and updated night vision goggle capacities for nighttime training missions.
The company will also provide modified SpectraView display systems designed with commercial off-the-shelf projectors and night vision device functionalities.
Nick Gibbs, vice president and general manager of Rockwell Collins’ simulation and training solutions business, said the company’s products are modified to help pilots utilize a training system tailored to their specific environment.
Gibbs added the company uses a “readiness-without-boundaries” approach to produce training platforms that will work to address F-16 training requirements.
