Booz Allen Hamilton will team up with NVIDIA to establish a hands-on training program designed to help federal employees hone their artificial intelligence skills, Nextgov reported Monday.
The NVIDIA Deep Learning Institute and Booz Allen team aims to launch the program in early 2018 to help employees understand the basics of emerging technologies and create tools that can mitigate cybersecurity, defense and healthcare challenges.
Graham Gilmer, senior associate at Booz Allen Hamilton, said the team currently explores various standards and customized options for agencies as part of the curriculum development efforts.
Gilmer noted members of the Defense Department, federal agencies and the Intelligence Community want to accelerate and learn more about AI technologies with the help of the technology sector.
Peter Guerra, chief data scientist at Booz Allen Hamilton, said the training program may also help encourage younger talent to join government organizations and support cybersecurity roles.
