Cynthia Shelton, director of special program sales for government markets at CenturyLink, is scheduled to speak today, Oct. 19, at the three-day NATO Information Assurance Symposium that kicked off Tuesday in Mons, Belgium.
Shelton will serve as a panelist at the annual symposium’s Women in Cybersecurity Forum and discuss her experience in overseeing CenturyLink’s relationship with the Department of Homeland Security and delivering cyber services to other federal agencies, CenturyLink said Tuesday.
The inaugural forum seeks to determine factors associated with gender gap in the cybersecurity field and identify measures that public and private sectors can implement to address that gap.
Bill Bradley, senior vice president of cyber engineering and technology services at CenturyLink, also delivered a keynote speech at the NATO symposium Tuesday.
He discussed the importance of partnerships among government agencies, companies and other organizations in cyber defense efforts.
