Rockwell Collins has received a contract from Germany’s defense ministry to supply a technology that will offer Global Navigation Satellite System accessibility for the country’s military vehicles.
The company said Tuesday it will install the NavHub system on multiple types of military vehicle in an effort to help German armed forces access navigation data.
NavHub is designed to help military users receive data from multiple open-service GNSS constellations.
Claude Alber, vice president and managing director of Rockwell Collins’ business operations in Europe, Middle East and Africa, said the company developed its military code-based GNSS receivers to provide navigation support in “fast-moving platforms and challenging environments.”
