Okta will integrate its cloud-based user identity management platform with a Palo Alto Networks security tool with the goal to bolster network, cloud and endpoint security.
The Okta Identity Cloud integration with Palo Alto’s Next-Generation Security Platform is designed to enable automated monitoring, analysis and response in efforts to strengthen cybersecurity, Okta announced Wednesday.
“The security stack must evolve to account for the changing threat landscape, particularly as the proliferation of people, applications and devices only continues to widen and grow,” said Frederic Kerrest, chief operating officer at Okta.
Terry Ramos, vice president of business development at Palo Alto, added the companies aim to facilitate unified visibility into users and their networks in order to counter threats.
Okta noted Palo Alto also introduced the PAN-OS 8.0 platform, which uses a multifactor authentication framework to prevent theft of credentials and sensitive data.
