Boeing will participate at the upcoming Space & Missile Defense Symposium in Alabama, where it will feature homeland defense, integrated air and missile defense, commercial satellite and directed energy technologies.
The company said Wednesday the event is scheduled at the Von Braun Center in Huntsville from Aug. 8 to 10 and includes a session where Boeing will exhibit alongside General Dynamics‘ land systems business.
“The SMD Symposium is a valuable forum for us to collaborate on the rapid development of missile defense and weapons operations and technology,” said Jim Chilton, senior vice president of the space and missile systems division within Boeing’s defense, space and security business.
Chilton is also an inductee into Executive Mosaic’s Wash100 for 2017.
Boeing noted it will showcase its Maneuver Short-Range Air Defense Launcher anti-aircraft system integrated onto General Dynamics Land Systems‘ Stryker armored combat vehicle, which will be part of a U.S. Army demonstration in September.
Scale models of the Compact Laser Weapon System, Minuteman intercontinental ballistic missile, Ground Based Interceptor and PAC-3 Millimeter Wave Seeker will also be on display.
