BAE Systems and Microsoft have teamed up to facilitate the delivery of the latter’s Office 365 suite of software platforms and services to the intelligence community in support of the U.S. government’s IC Desktop Environment program that seeks to integrate intelligence agencies through a single cloud environment.
Jonathan Morse, director of business architecture at BAE Systems Inc., wrote in a LinkedIn article published Aug. 15 the companies will work to provide intelligence agencies access to the IC DTE Office 365 unclassified platform and Microsoft Azure cloud-based Cognitive Services offerings designed to facilitate data analysis and mission planning efforts.
The IC DTE Office 365 unclassified platform will work to facilitate collaboration among intelligence agencies and streamline the deployment of working groups through delivery of a common user interface.
Users can also access the latest software updates, security patches and analytics upgrades in real-time through the offering, Morse wrote.
The companies also aim to provide IC agencies access to data loss prevention tools through IC DTE Office 365 to facilitate email management and reduce security risks.
