The U.S. Navy has awarded Aptim a potential five-year, $49 million contract to provide environmental laboratory services within the Naval Facilities Engineering Command’s Southwest area of responsibility.
The indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract covers personnel, supervision, equipment and transportation services to support environmental laboratory operations at multiple Navy and Marine Corps facilities as well as other government facilities, the Department of Defense said Friday.
Work is scheduled to be completed in August 2022.
Eighty percent of the work will occur in California and the rest in Arizona, Utah, Nevada, Colorado and New Mexico.
The Navy obligated $5,000 in fiscal 2017 working capital funds at the time of award.
San Diego, California-based Aptim works with federal, state and local government clients to help them manage large programs and projects such as infrastructure design-build and full-scale environmental efforts.
