BAE Systems‘ land and armaments business has received $15.2 million in contract funds to modify an integration design for the U.S. Army‘s future Armored Multi-Purpose Vehicle platform.
The Defense Department said Monday the company will work to accommodate evolving Army network software and hardware necessary to be integrated into the AMPV design.
The service branch obligated $4.3 million in fiscal 2017 research, development, test, and evaluation funds at the time of award of the modification.
BAE received a $382.6 million order in 2015 to build five variants of the AMPV platform for the Army as part of the company’s potential $1.2 billion contract for engineering, manufacturing and development services and low-rate initial production work under the program.
