The Department of Veterans Affairs has asked information on potential industry sources of cloud managed support services as VA plans to move to the cloud to facilitate the delivery of services to military retirees.
A FedBizOpps notice posted Friday says VA wants data on potential vendors that can provide professional, governance and operational support to cloud transition efforts.
The department also seeks contractors that can offer services in the areas of network convergence and modernization, unified communications, managed services implementation, cloud management core and higher value services operation and data center consolidation.
For the cloud transition governance support area, VA specifically wants companies that can help implement the National Institute of Standards and Technology’s Risk Management Framework to comply with the Federal Information Security Management Act or achieve certification under the Federal Risk and Authorization Management Program.
VA also seeks interested companies that can support the analysis of the agency’s enterprise communication network, develop a cloud configuration database and maintain service level agreements for cloud services.
Responses to the request for information are due June 12, according to the notice.
