Reston, Virginia-based technology services provider tiag will design and build an expanded version of its performance tracking system for the U.S. Navy.
The company said Tuesday it will evolve the Warrior Performance Platform into an interactive Human Performance Self-Service Kiosk in an effort to provide sailors access to wellness and nutrition information tailored to their individual fitness goals.
The HPSSK will also work to integrate with various personal electronic devices and wearable technology as well as with the Naval Operational Fuel & Fitness System, USDA MyPlate, DoD Go for Green program and other Navy nutritional information databases.
CoachMePlus and Research and Engineering Development will collaborate with tiag on the project, which supports the Office of Naval Research and the Small Business Innovation Research program.
Prototypes developed under the effort will eventually transition into products and services for government and private sector use, tiag noted.
WP2 is designed to combine tiag’s data analytics, telemedicine and health information technology expertise with CoachMePlus’ performance optimization platform.
