Lockheed Martin‘s mission systems and training unit has received a nearly $42 million contract modification from the U.S. Navy to deliver TB-37 Multi-Function Towed Array production units, accessories, shipping products and engineering services.
The Defense Department said Friday the modification exercises options in a previously awarded contract and includes purchases for the Navy and a foreign military sales deal with Japan.
Work will occur in Liverpool, New York; Millersville, Maryland; and Marion, Massachusetts through September 2019.
The Naval Sea Systems Command will obligate $38.8 million at the time of the award from the Navy’s fiscal 2017 “other” procurement funds as well as foreign military sales funds.
TB-37 MFTA is a component sensor of the AN/SQQ-89 anti-submarine warfare combat system that works to help surface ships detect, locate and combat undersea threats.
