CACI International and American Cyber have received the Defense Department’s Nunn-Perry Award for their performance as a mentor-protege team.
The U.S. Army’s office of small business programs and the Army CIO/G-6 sponsored the partnership between CACI and American Cyber under DoD’s Mentor-Protege Program, CACI said Tuesday.
CACI served as a mentor to American Cyber and helped the latter secure its prime contract, undergo market and regional expansion and increase its workforce.
“We are committed to supporting the government’s focus of ensuring that small businesses have opportunities to provide value to our nation’s critical missions alongside companies like ours,†said Val Lyons, executive vice president for enterprise solutions and services at CACI.
American Cyber works to provide cybersecurity and command, control, communications, computers, intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance platforms and services to U.S. government clients.
CACI supports MPP and other strategic initiatives through alignment of its small business advocacy office with business development organizations.
