Sierra Nevada has received a one-year, $31 million contract modification from the U.S. Navy to continue to supply and support countermeasure transmitters designed for explosive ordnance disposal personnel.
The Defense Department said Wednesday the modification exercises option year six and extend the ordering period of a previously awarded indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract for AN/PLT-5 electronic jamming systems.
Sierra Nevada will produce the systems as part of the Joint Service Explosive Ordnance Disposal Counter Radio Controlled Improvised Explosive Device Electronic Warfare program.
Work will occur at a company facility in Rancho, California through March 2018.
The EOD technology division of the Naval Surface Warfare Center in Indian Head, Maryland is the contracting activity.
