A U.S. combat support agency has awarded Norsat International a $3.3 million order for the company’s GLOBETrekker 2.0Â portable satellite terminals.
GLOBETrekker is designed with a one-touch interface and LinkControl control interface software that works to facilitate automatic satellite acquisition and X-band and Ku-band connectivity worldwide, Norsat said Monday.
The company added its terminal offering allows for radio frequency equipment modifications and is equipped with a built-in spectrum analyzer as well as integrated optic modules that link outdoor and indoor modems.
Norsat is scheduled to begin delivery of GLOBETrekker 2.0 terminals to the combat support agency in this first half of 2017.
Amiee Chan, Norsat CEO, said the company develops products and services intended to help address the stringent requirements of government customers.
