Microsoft has added eight service offerings to the Azure Government cloud platform’s provisional authority-to-operate certification coverage under the Federal Risk and Authorization Management Program.
The company said Wednesday it secured clearance from FedRAMP’s Joint Authorization Board to add the services to the cloud’s P-ATO at the “high impact level.â€
The addition of the services brings the total number of the cloud’s offerings that meet FedRAMP high baseline requirements to 26.
Microsoft said Azure Resource Manager is one of the service offerings designed to facilitate the deployment of applications, while Azure Automation works to manage the creation, deployment, maintenance and monitoring of Azure resources and third-party apps through the use of Windows PowerShell scripts and runbooks.
Other services added to Azure Government cloud’s P-ATO certification include:
- Azure Batch
- Log Analytics
- Azure Media Services
- Policy Administration Service/Role-Based Access Control
- Redis Cache
- Scheduler
Microsoft also offers the Azure Blueprint program designed to provide federal, defense, local and state agencies accelerator tools and guidance to facilitate the use of the service offerings on Azure Government.
