Azure Summit Technology has secured a potential five-year, $48.5 million indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract from the U.S. Navy to support a mission sensor developed for the military branch’s manned and unmanned platforms.
The Defense Department said Friday the Common Chassis Signals Intelligence mission sensor will be used to facilitate collection of identification and localization intelligence data from electronic signals or systems such as communications, radars and weapons systems.
The Naval Surface Warfare Center will obligate $5.6 million in fiscal 2017 Navy aircraft procurement funds for work to be performed in Florida and Virginia through December 2021.
DoD noted that the agreement will deliver ISR capacity to various forward-deployed Navy platforms.
Fairfax, Virginia-based Azure Simulation Technology offers advanced systems architecture, beamforming, direction finding, geolocation, FPGA signal processing, interference cancellation, miniature electronics design, modeling and simulation, rapid prototyping, proof of concept and signal processing algorithm products and services.
