The Air Force Medical Support Agency has awarded Nika a contract for engineering operations, systems and project management support services at 73 AFMSA facilities worldwide.
Nika said Thursday it will work with the agency to plan, develop and execute operations and maintenance-funded construction projects in conjunction with medical repair and sustainment efforts.
Nika CEO Kabir Chaudhary said the company aims to help maintain, update and extend the life of U.S. Air Force hospitals and clinics, as well as assist the military service in the delivery of healthcare to its community.
The government facilities and operations services contractor will provide sustainment support for the organization’s Defense Medical Logistics Standard Support information system and technical and functional design services for major building systems.
Nika will also support AFMSA in financial aspects of the agency’s sustainment, restoration and modernization program; evaluate SRM contracts and constructions and appoint personnel for logistics, maintenance, engineering, construction and project management.
