Comtech Telecommunications has received an additional $8.8 million order from the U.S. Army for very small aperture terminal satellite systems.
The company said Tuesday its command and control technologies group will deliver Secret Internet Protocol Router and Non-Secure Internet Protocol Router Access Point VSAT satellite systems to the military service.
Fred Kornberg, president and CEO of Comtech Telecommunications, said the company’s SNAP and VSAT platforms are designed to be deployable and support the Army’s requirements.
The Army Project Manager for the Warfighter Information Network-Tactical Commercial Satellite Terminal Program will fund the procurment through the Global Tactical Advanced Communication Systems contract vehicle.
To date, Comtech has received $71.5 million in funded orders under the company’s potential $91 million contract with the service branch.
