Windstream has provided network communications services to approximately 300 Department of Veterans Affairs offices across the U.S. within the initial year of the company’s selection for a potential five-year, $450 million contract with VA.
The company is one of the three contractors that won positions in August 2015 on the National Consolidation of Local Exchange Carrier Services contract to provide data, voice and internet services for the VA’s office of information and technology, Windstream said Tuesday.
Bradley Kilbey, vice president and general manager of federal markets at Windstream, said the company’s data and voice services seek to help VA facilitate the delivery of healthcare benefits to veterans as well as support the department’s telehealth programs and crisis hotlines.
Little Rock, Arkansas-based Windstream provides network communications, security, cloud computing, disaster recovery and managed services to enterprise clients.
