Hitachi America has selected ViaWest to be the exclusive colocation provider for the Hitachi Data Systems information technology infrastructure under a five-year, $6.6 million contract.
ViaWest said Monday it will house the HDS IT infrastructure at a 3,600-square-foot area at the ViaWest Compark Data Center in Denver, Colorado.
The 140,000-square-foot colocation and hosting center is equipped with 24/7 on-site expert engineers and service staff and was designed to be fault tolerant to support the availability of mission-critical enterprise data.
HDS will market its product portfolio through the center.
Roger Hughes, vice president of IT global service delivery at HDS, said the colocation helped the company update its infrastructure, consolidate its data center and expand its offerings to the Denver market.
