Harris Corp. has opened a new interactive technology showcase center in Florida as part of the company’s $150 million investment in the region to facilitate idea exchanges between customers, partners and employees.
The 23,000-square-foot Harris Global Innovation Center houses technology demonstration stations, multimedia conference rooms, huddle spaces and other areas that aim to drive collaboration, Harris said Wednesday.
“The center also will be accessible to organizations seeking to foster the next generation of innovators, serving as a place to inspire students and encourage them to consider careers in science, technology, engineering and math,” added William Brown, Harris chairman, president and CEO.
The innovation hub also features a 20-by-7-foot interactive mural that displays various Harris technologies, a mission simulation movie that illustrates the impact of technology on customer missions as well as a wall of heroes that works to show the application of those technologies for warfighters and first responders.
